Good Mornin'

Good Mornin’

Music by Nacio Herb Brown and lyrics by Arthur Freed;

Changes by Debra Milligan

Good mornin’

Good mornin’

We slept the whole night through

Good morning, good mornin’ to you.

It’s great to sleep unafraid

Good mornin’, good mornin’ to you.

The inaugural clock struck noon

The stars were shining bright

All those signings were on their way

So we could sleep without fright.

So, good mornin’, good mornin’

Sun beams are smiling through

Good mornin; good mornin’

To you, and you, and you.

and you!

Good mornin’, good mornin;

We snored the whole night through

Good mornin, good mornin’ to you.

Nothing could be grander

than to be American-er

In the mornin, in the morning

It’s great to sleep unafraid

Good mornin’

good mornin’ to you.

It feels really zippy to regain our liberty.

When we saw the Freak-Prez show

The future wasn’t bright

Now he’s gone

Our lives can go on

We can finally say,

Good night!

And sing,

Good mornin’

good mornin’

Rainbows are shinin’ through

Good mornin’, good mornin’

to Yankee can-do.

When we saw that Freak-Prez show

The future wasn’t bright

Now we’re back on track

so we can calmly say

Good night!

Then awake to sing

Good mornin’

good mornin’

Rainbows are shinin’ through

Good mornin’, good mornin’

to you.
