Auld Lang Syne
The Hogmanay of 1918 brings tragedy to Julia Mac Vicker. By the end of the next year, however, she is able to face the future and her new life, and to take a cup of kindness, for auld lang syne, and for a new love.
Auld Lang Syne
English version of
Original Scots verse by
Robert Burns
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne?
Chorus:

For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
And surely you'll buy your pint cup!
and surely I'll buy mine!
And we'll take a cup o' kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
Chorus
We two have paddled in the stream,
from morning sun till dine;
But seas between us broad have roared
since auld lang syne.
Final Chorus
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
